SEA EMPEROR

a horse that is swimming in the water

The Sea Emperor was a hopper barge 171′ long and 45′ wide. The barge is upside down with the bow pointing to the south. Inside the wreck and to the east lie 1600 tons of concrete drainage culverts. The barge is also home to Goliath Groupers, eels, stingrays, nurse sharks and hundreds of other fish. This is a photographer’s paradise!

Penetration in this wreck is safe. There is light and access to surface in every chamber. This dive site has been featured in numerous magazines and T.V. shows worldwide. The Sea Emperor is part of a 3 wreck triangle. The United Caribbean lies to the SE and can be reached by following the limestone bolders placed in a row (yellow brick road). The Noulla Express lies to the East, however it is a little trickier to reach in a single dive.
